The large air intakes in the Audi Q8’s bumper, which has a thick-framed grille that dominates most of the front face alone, are also among the details that reinforce the aggressive look. On the back of the vehicle, which reveals the coupe-SUV identity on the backwards lowering roof, the same uninterrupted stop group used in the new A8 sedan model is used.
There are differences according to the preference of the new Audi Q8, which will be presented to the liking of customers with 12 different body colors. While the base pakette wheel arches are surrounded by gray plastic material, the belt in the body color and the gray blanket painted grille frame and the rear bumper diffuser are among the details coming out. The wheels in the 22-inch size are also challenging as another element to support design.
Fully mechanical center differential transfers forces to the front axle and rear axle as standard at 40:60. When necessary, the majority transfers with better traction to the axle. In addition, plus a height of 254 millimeters (10.0 inches), short outcrops and peak descent control means that the Audi Q8 can continue even after the end of the pavement. Suspension with damper control is standard. Audi offers an adaptive air suspension with controlled damping as an option, with comfort or sport setup. The ride height is set to 90 millimeters (3.5 inches) depending on the driving situation and the driver’s preference.
With the new Audi Q8’s MMI touch response operating concept, virtually any task can be accessed via two large displays. The top 10.1-inch screen is used to control the information and control system. The driver uses a 8.6-inch screen for heating and air conditioning, convenience functions and text input, while the second is sitting comfortably and ergonomically on the shift lever with the wrist.
On the German market, the Audi Q8 comes standard with the top-of-the-line infotainment system, MMI navigation plus. It includes the Audi connect data transfer module with the LTE Advanced standard and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The navigation system recognizes the driver’s preferences based on previous journeys and therefore can make intelligent suggestions. The online services from Audi connect add predictive features to the route planning process. This lets the two Car-to-X services for traffic sign information and hazard information benefit from the swarm intelligence of the Audi fleet. The optional Audi connect key lets the driver lock/unlock the vehicle, and start the engine using a compatible Android smartphone. Individual user profiles allow as many as 400 preferred settings to be stored for multiple drivers. With the myAudi app, drivers can also transfer special destinations to the navigation system, stream music or transfer the smartphone calendar to the MMI.
